God Blocked It

Have you ever been driving along in your car, with a specific route in mind to arrive at your destination, only to hear a still small voice 0articulating into your spirit, instructing you to take a different route? (No passengers, well no visible passengers on board) Initially you shrug it off thinking there isn’t anything to it, but you finally relent. Then later on, you hear about a devastating accident occurring on the route you originally wanted to take, that would have landed you “smack dab” in the middle of the accident scene. What about a time when you may have overslept, which caused you to arrive late to work, and you were upset about having to clock in later than scheduled. But, after you settled in to start your day, you are told about an unsettling event occurring, at the very time you would have been on the job, had you not overslept. I think you get where I’m going. Christians testify of the Lord keeping them from dangers, both seen and unseen. Think back on 2011 alone. How many times did the Lord keep you from danger and peril; and from traps the enemy set for you? How many times did the Lord protect you from yourself, when you decided you had a better idea than God for a situation? (I’m also speaking to myself.) When your life was spinning out of control, God stepped in and took hold of the reins! When tumultuous storms were raging and threatening shipwreck, God blocked it. He wouldn’t let it be so! Praise God! Let’s look into the Scriptures!

But as for you, you thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. (Genesis 50:20) If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say; If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us: Then they had swallowed us up   quick, when their wrath was kindled against us: Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul. (Psalm 124:1-4) The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: He shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. (Psalm 121:7-8) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God: to them who are the called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28) What shall we say then to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)

275975_100002595233571_45101_nJoseph’s brothers plotted to kill the dreamer. They thought evil against him, but God didn’t allow it to be so. They attempted to derail his purpose, but God said not so! The evil his brothers thought against him, God meant it for good, to save much people alive! Satan desires to have you, to sift you as wheat. He wants to derail your purpose. He wants to destroy your soul, but as he thinks evil against you, God will work it out for your good. He will turn it around! “The devil meant it for bad, but I am so glad, God meant it for your good!” Jesus is Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending. He knows the plan for your life. Go forth and walk in your divine purpose. Listen for the still small voice, a whisper from the Lord into your spirit. Allow God to lead and guide you. In all thy ways acknowledge the Lord, and He will direct thy paths. Yes, the devil may plot to kill your purpose, but God will turn it around! God will block it, and not let it be so! When you heed the voice of the Lord, He will steer you clear of the traps the enemy sets for you. Remember, our God is Omniscient Omnipresent, and Omnipotent! The LORD Almighty has sworn, “Surely, as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will stand. Our God is Sovereign! Turn your life over to Him wholly and completely, and allow His perfect will to be done in your life! The message in the song, “God Blocked It” is profound! Please listen and enjoy! Remember, “There were dangers awaiting me. Destruction was sure to be, but God blocked it! He wouldn’t let it be so!” May the Lord bless you abundantly, today and every day!
