God Blocked It

Have you ever been driving along in your car, with a specific route in mind to arrive at your destination, only to hear a still small voice 0articulating into your spirit, instructing you to take a different route? (No passengers, well no visible passengers on board) Initially you shrug it off thinking there isn’t anything to it, but you finally relent. Then later on, you hear about a devastating accident occurring on the route you originally wanted to take, that would have landed you “smack dab” in the middle of the accident scene. What about a time when you may have overslept, which caused you to arrive late to work, and you were upset about having to clock in later than scheduled. But, after you settled in to start your day, you are told about an unsettling event occurring, at the very time you would have been on the job, had you not overslept. I think you get where I’m going. Christians testify of the Lord keeping them from dangers, both seen and unseen. Think back on 2011 alone. How many times did the Lord keep you from danger and peril; and from traps the enemy set for you? How many times did the Lord protect you from yourself, when you decided you had a better idea than God for a situation? (I’m also speaking to myself.) When your life was spinning out of control, God stepped in and took hold of the reins! When tumultuous storms were raging and threatening shipwreck, God blocked it. He wouldn’t let it be so! Praise God! Let’s look into the Scriptures!

But as for you, you thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. (Genesis 50:20) If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say; If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us: Then they had swallowed us up   quick, when their wrath was kindled against us: Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul. (Psalm 124:1-4) The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: He shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. (Psalm 121:7-8) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God: to them who are the called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28) What shall we say then to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)

275975_100002595233571_45101_nJoseph’s brothers plotted to kill the dreamer. They thought evil against him, but God didn’t allow it to be so. They attempted to derail his purpose, but God said not so! The evil his brothers thought against him, God meant it for good, to save much people alive! Satan desires to have you, to sift you as wheat. He wants to derail your purpose. He wants to destroy your soul, but as he thinks evil against you, God will work it out for your good. He will turn it around! “The devil meant it for bad, but I am so glad, God meant it for your good!” Jesus is Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending. He knows the plan for your life. Go forth and walk in your divine purpose. Listen for the still small voice, a whisper from the Lord into your spirit. Allow God to lead and guide you. In all thy ways acknowledge the Lord, and He will direct thy paths. Yes, the devil may plot to kill your purpose, but God will turn it around! God will block it, and not let it be so! When you heed the voice of the Lord, He will steer you clear of the traps the enemy sets for you. Remember, our God is Omniscient Omnipresent, and Omnipotent! The LORD Almighty has sworn, “Surely, as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will stand. Our God is Sovereign! Turn your life over to Him wholly and completely, and allow His perfect will to be done in your life! The message in the song, “God Blocked It” is profound! Please listen and enjoy! Remember, “There were dangers awaiting me. Destruction was sure to be, but God blocked it! He wouldn’t let it be so!” May the Lord bless you abundantly, today and every day!

    • Hi Dicky,

Thanks so much for stopping by! May the Lord richly bless you! (I hope you were able to listen to the video. The article posted before it was completed, due to a technical difficulty.) Sorry about that.

  1. Amen! Isn’t it amazing how God remove obstacles when we trust Him. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” If we trust God He will detour us from the obstacles. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful post Paulette. God bless.

    • Hi Noel,

We serve an awesome God! “If we trust God He will detour us from the obstacles.” So, so true! Thank you so much for sharing that. I appreciate your words of encouragement! May the Lord bless you real, real good today, and every day!

“Yes, the devil may plot to kill your purpose, but God will turn it around! God will block it, and not let it be so! ”
What a great truth! GOD blocked it! I must confess that there are times I wonder why things don’t turn out the way I planned them, but I am glad when the changes come because HE blocked it!
May He continue to block the things that have been sent to through us off course.

    Blessings,
    ann

    • Hi Ann,

  6. Dear sister Paulette,
This really spoke to me–a major event happened in 2011…did not see it coming, but I knew God was in control, guiding me and lifting me throughout. Wow! He is so amazing, and you have such a gift for encouraging others.
Praying your pain is at a minimum and the Lord is holding you in His loving arms.
    Bee well, my friend 🙂

Hoping your pain is at a minimum, as well. Thankfully, today has not been a very painful one for me! God bless!

    • Amen. Thank you for making the distinction between religion, and having a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior, and what a Savior Jesus is!

  7. Good Morning Paulette.

Yes, I can relate to that happening to me on many occasions and it continues to happen.
TELL GOD THANK YOU FOR DISCERNMENT! I just pray for extra help in knowing it is Him when it happens. As you said, we sometimes have a tendency to shrug or ignore the voice, not realizing it is indeed the Holy Spirit.

Thank you for your divine wisdom and insight on this matter..
GOD BLESS AND DO TELL THE LORD THANK YOU FOR DIVINE WISDOM!

    DEBRA

    • Hi Minister Aiken,

Amen! Thank you for that message. We should pray to God daily, and ask Him to help us to be able to discern His voice! When we follow His voice, we will definitely not be led astray!

      Have a blessed day! 🙂

      Paulette
