A Little about the Blog

Hello there! Thank you so much for stopping by! This is the day the Lord hath made, so let us rejoice and be glad in it! This blog is “A Place of Worship and Praise.” John 4:23 says, “But the hour cometh, and now is when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.” The underlying theme of this blog, woven into the very fabric of each post is, “It’s all about Jesus, it’s all about Him!” It’s about worshipping the LORD, in the beauty of holiness! Oh the wonder of Worship! It is adoration, which is ascribed unto God alone! It is our response to our Creator, God Almighty. We humbly celebrate Him with the fruit of our lips, we honor Him by kneeling in His presence, with upraised hands, and with hearts bowed down! Ultimately, we worship God with our lives. The other point of interest here, is Living with Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome/RSD. In a manner of speaking, RSD has turned my life upside down, and inside out! It is my hope, to bring about awareness of this debilitating and chronically painful, and most certainly life changing, neurological syndrome. As you peruse the recent articles, don’t forget to take a peek at the archived postings. I sincerely hope you will be richly blessed, as you read the subject matter of this blog. Please feel free to comment on, or ask questions, about anything you read. Your input would be greatly appreciated.

A Little About Myself

I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior, at a very early age. I was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, according to Acts 2:38, and I received the gift of the Holy Ghost, evidenced with speaking in other tongues, another language, as the Spirit of Almighty God gave me utterance. I believe holiness is a way of life, and not a religion. I Peter 1:15-16 says, “But as He which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy;  for I am holy.” I grew up in the church. As a youth and young adult, I attended the Lily of the Valley Faith Bibleway Church, of the Apostolic Faith. Working and serving in ministry were my passions. Music was a huge part of my life. I am a singer, and I was a choir director. Training singers to come together as one voice is a beautiful thing, but I digress. When I am inspired by God to do so I write songs and poetry. Serving as a praise and worship leader, and ushering the congregation into the presence of God was an awesome experience! When my brother became a Pastor, I worked very closely with him in the ministry. Under his tutelage, I was given many opportunities to stir up the gifts the Lord placed within me. I assisted with teaching the Ministerial Class, and I served as the Sunday School Superintendent. I especially enjoyed teaching the New Converts Class. Above all else, I am a true worshiper. There is no other place I would rather be, than in the presence of Almighty God!

I hope you’ll visit again, soon! When you leave a comment, it is always greatly appreciated. I enjoy hearing from those who read the blog, and I always make my best effort to reply in a timely manner! May the Lord bless you abundantly, today and every day! 🙂

    • Hello there, Minister Aiken,

You’ve been on my mind, as well. I was at your site just last night, or it could’ve been sometime during the wee hours of the morning. I was reading, “JOHN 15:19 YOU ASK WHY….?YOU ARE NOT OF THE WORLD.”

It is my prayer, that when anyone would visit the site, that the anointing would be present, and the Lord has been faithful! I give Him praise! It’s all about Him! I have been extremely sleep deprived recently, which is tied to the RSD, but thankfully I slept for hours today! The Lord is good! I’m hoping your weekend is going well! I always appreciate you checking in, and I praise God for our friendship! Love you too! God bless!

  4. Good Morning Paulette,

I read your “A Little About the Blog, and Myself” some time back, but I wasn’t led to comment on it until today, after I finished reading this page again. I love your openness and friendliness. Your approach to discussing yourself and the purpose of your blog is just as refreshing to read as are your anointed praise and worship postings. Thank you!

  5. Hi there. I’m not sure if you would remember me or not but you used to comment on my blog when I was still blogging (www.ichosetolive.wordpress.com) and bring me such encouragement. I have not even visited my blog in a little over a year and made the decision a few days ago to return. I don’t know when I will be able to start publishing posts, etc. as I now have a 3 month old little boy. Life has been kind of crazy. 🙂 I just saw your comments from a while ago waiting for me as I logged back in to my account and I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for your encouragement. I hope to follow through and make time to blog once again and if so, will definitely be visiting yours again too as it brought me so much faith and hope and inspiration. Thanks again!

    • I apologize…I wanted to add that I had attempted to start a new blog, which is where it will take you if you log on to my screen name, for some reason. I will not be posting on that blog at anytime. It will be the one I started out with- ichosetolive.com

    • Hi Tabitha,

Shortly after I started tweeting, I found your profile page, and I have been following your tweets every since. Your messages are always so encouraging and uplifting!…You have your hands full, and I really appreciate you stopping by today. You brought a huge smile to my face. 🙂 May God bless you and your son, abundantly! Take care.

    • Hello Mark,

Thank you so much for your kind words. Also, thank you for nominating me for the Sunshine Blog Award. To God be the glory, honor, and praise! He alone is worthy. I appreciate you thinking of me! Your blog has certainly been a “ray” of sunshine for me, as well! 🙂 May the Lord bless you!

  6. Hi Paulette.

Yes, it has been a minute since I was able to visit, but I made the time today to view your site and get caught up on what I was missing. God is still getting the glory from your site as always.

I have been very busy with christian ministry work at other churches, work and school and it has been buzzzzzzzyyyyyyy. I won’t complain.

I love your passion and zeal for Christ and souls. Continue to let God use you and He will take you places you never dreamed.

    God bless!

    Debra

    • Hi Minister Aiken,

It’s always great to hear from you! You have been on my mind. I always appreciate you stopping by to check on me. Thank you so much! 🙂 You’re a great friend! I’m glad that all is well with you, and that you’ve been really busy. Sounds wonderful! If I may ask, what are you studying in school? Are you attending a Bible college?

It is my desire to please the Lord in all that I do. This site is all about Him! May God be glorified and well pleased, always! Thanks so much for your encouraging words!

Stay strong in the Lord, and take care of yourself! May the Lord continue to bless you, real, real good!

      Love you,

      Paulette

      • I am studying Theology at a local college here 2 nights a week and I am also taking a 6 month pastoral care class at a local hospital. Tooo busy, but to God be all the glory!

My soul is requiring more of God and less of me. My husband works nights and it gives me a lot of free time. My son is in college at Clemson University and I have some spare time to give back to the Lord in learning what His will is for my life.

I want to do greatr works for the Lord and every contrary wind possible has been hitting me, but I am gong to continue to row, steer and press my way.

Please keep me lifted up in prayer too. I am always under the attack of the enmy, but I am always focus on who has already fought the battle on my behalf. Jeuss, My Savior.

God bless and I love ya.
        Debra

        • Wow, Minister Aiken! Your plate is certainly full, but in such a great way! 🙂 I will certainly continue to hold you up in prayer! You can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens you! “My soul is requiring more of God and less of me.” Amen! That’s wonderful! May the Lord bless you, keep you, and speak to your heart, as you daily seek His face, and His will for your life!

    • Hello there,

I recall reading your comment, but for some reason I neglected to reply at that time. Apparently, I missed a few comments in this stream. I do feel badly, and I apologize. Thank you so much for sharing such an encouraging and inspiring comment. I appreciate your visit, as well as your comment! 🙂 I hope to visit your blog again soon! You have a beautiful blog! Thank you again. May the Lord bless you, abundantly! 🙂

    • Hello Minister Aiken,

      • Well, we must keep each other lifted up. My shoulder has been hurting for a weeks if not months. I think it is mr arthritis or bursitus, not claiming either, but i need to get it checked out.

We know our God is able to heal. Therefore, in the meantime, we will continue to give Him the praise, glory and honor. I love you my sister.

Keep looking up because God is looking down on you.

        Debra

I am sooooooooo sorry, for not getting in touch in a while. I have been thinking of you, and I do hope all is well with you, and your family. The Lord willing, I’m going to be sending an e-mail to you shortly. Thank you so much, Minister Aiken, for being a true friend!

  10. Paulette,

You were on my heart tonight, so I just wanted to stop by and tell you that I’m praying for you — that the Almighty One will rise up and show Himself strong on your behalf. I pray in Jesus’ mighty name that your pain and inflammation would leave right now, and that you would find rest this night. I pray that your sleep would be sweet tonight, and that the Lord would visit you in your dreams, calming all fear and doubt. I pray that He would reveal to you how long and how wide, how high and how deep His love for you is, and that when you awaken this morning, you would feel stronger, and that you would accomplish all that the Lord would have you do today.

In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

    Love,
    Cheryl

    • Hello Cheryl,

Praise ye the Lord! Thank you so much, for dropping by to say a word of prayer on my behalf. I do appreciate you allowing the Lord to use you to intercede for me. Sleep is quite often very difficult to come by, and I desperately need to experience the restorative and healing effects of it.

I hope you are on the road to recovery. May the Lord strengthen you, and keep you continually in His loving care. Thank you again, for thinking of me, and praying for me. I will keep you in my prayers, as well!

      Love,
      Paulette

    • Hello Minister Aiken,

Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised! Thanks so much for dropping by. I miss being able to post regularly, but I know the Lord is in control. I always appreciate you checking in, and leaving a word of encouragement.

      Love you too, my sister.

      Paulette

  11. Paulette, I just wanted to tell you I have missed you. I presume you are prevented from being here because of your health, and I want to assure you of my prayers.

Deuteronomy 33:27 The eternal God is your refuge and underneath are the everlasting arms.

    • Hello Angela,

Thank you so much for stopping by, to let me know you are thinking of me and praying for me. I truly appreciate your kindness and your thoughtfulness. I am struggling with health issues presently, which precludes my being here. Thanks so much for the encouraging words! May the Lord bless you, mightily!

  12. Sweet Paulette, Deb forwarded your message for me today. I’ve thought of you SO OFTEN–and it seems I don’t have your email address anymore. Please know that you are always in my prayers and in my heart–you are my sister. If you want to contact me (“Caddo”): bennettafaire@comcast.net, or sterlingjael@comcast.net–either should work fine. Lord bless you abundantly with His favor and healing–love, sis Caddo

  13. My sweet sister Paulette… I miss you!
I have been praying for you much of late… the Lord laid this burden upon my heart months ago. I pray our loving Father and faithful Lord Jesus are comforting you if your RSD is worsening. I pray for the Father in the name of Jesus that He reminds you daily that this is just our temporary home— and soon we will all be with Him worshiping in way like never before!
I love you Paulette and will continue to approach the throne with supplications on your behalf.
    Stephanie

1 John 5: 13-15 “These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.”
