Living Sacrifices

Romans 12:1-3 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

When we enter the sanctuary, no longer are there animals placed on an altar to be sacrificed as in the Old Testament times, but we are to present our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable unto the Lord. Yes, we are in this world, but we are not to be of this world. Romans 6:11-13 says, Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. We must give God what He wants. We are to give God our time and our talents, as well as give Him the sacrifice of praise, the fruit of our lips giving thanks unto His name. We are to give God our everything! We must not be conformed to this world. Instead, we must be transformed by the renewing of our minds. There must be a recognizable difference between the body of Christ, and those that have not yet been redeemed by the precious blood of the Lamb. We are ambassadors for Jesus Christ. For some, the most life-changing sermon an individual will be exposed to, is the life I/you live before them. We must separate ourselves from the things of the world. If we are going to talk the talk, we must also walk the walk. As the Word of God says, Come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing. We must strive to live a life which is holy and acceptable unto the Lord. We are to be holy, because our God is holy. The Word says, Like as He which hath called you is holy, so be ye also holy in all manner of conversation, because it is written, be ye holy, for I am holy. HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD! May the Lord bless you abundantly, today and every day!

Holiness unto the Lord, each and every day. Holiness unto the Lord, is the only way. Set apart for the Master’s use, a holy life the godly choose. Holiness, each and every day.

I’m presenting my body, a living sacrifice; washed and redeemed by the precious blood of Christ. I humbly bow myself to Him, because He is, He is the great I AM!

Holiness unto the Lord, each and every day. Holiness unto the Lord, is the only way. Set apart for the Master’s use, a holy life the godly choose. Holiness, each and every day!
