I’ll Pray for You

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. (Matthew 6:9-13).

When we meet someone for the first time, The first thing that we normally do, is to strike up a conversation. That is how we begin to learn of likes and dislikes, things we may have in common, and we learn if that would be a person we would want to get to know better. Relationships are built through communication. Prayer is spiritual communication with God, as in supplication, intercession, thanksgiving, adoration, praise and worship, or confession. The more we talk to God through prayer, the better we get to know Him, and the closer we become to Him. Also, the more we pray, the stronger our spirit man becomes. We are better equipped to stand against the wiles of the devil. That is why we must pray without ceasing! Sometimes, prayer must be coupled with fasting. When the disciples attempted to cast out a dumb spirit, they could not. They went unto Jesus privately, to ask why they were unable to cast him out. Jesus answered, “This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.”  Much prayer, much power. Some prayer, some power. No prayer, no power!

Prayer is one of the best gifts we can give to one another.”There is no cost, only rewards”. Who better to go to, on behalf of yourself or someone else, when in need of help! Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Jesus is the best friend we could ever have! When you call Him up, His line is never busy. He always has time for you. God won’t judge you, no matter what you say to Him, about yourself or anyone else! When you go to the Lord in prayer, with a repentant heart, He will forgive your sins. The Lord is certainly nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. James 5:15-16 says, “And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” I’ll pray for you. You pray for me. We’re all a part of God’s body. Stand with me. Agree with me. I love you. I need you to survive.
