Joy Cometh

A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world (John 16:21). Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning (Psalm 30:4-5).

Job 14:1 says, “Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.” In our walks with the Lord, we encounter many trials and tribulations. Trouble gets in our way, and yes, sometimes we cry. We will find ourselves navigating through boisterous storms, many pitfalls, temptations, disappointments, heartaches, heavy burdens, and uncertainties. “Satan desires to have us, that he might sift us as wheat.” He wants our faith to fail when we are going through the difficult times in our lives. He’s busy laying traps for the  body of Christ. “The tempter, the wicked one sets out to afflict and distress the saints of God; to toss us, to and fro as wheat is in a sieve.” He is a formidable opponent, but thanks to be  God, he is a defeated foe. However, it is in these trying times, that we find tears streaming down our faces, and we find  ourselves wondering Lord, where are you? In these times, we cry out Lord help us! Lord save us! It is in these trying times, that we are being tried, as in a refiner’s fire!

Joy Comes in the Morning! It is also in these times, that the Lord is working a work in our lives! He’s burning up everything within us, that is not like Him! He is cleansing us of all filthiness of the flesh and of the spirit! He is molding us and making us! We may not see it, but it is working for our good. Yes, weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning light! As a woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: after she is delivered, she will remember her sorrow and anguish,  no more. She will have joy, because a man is born into the world. We will experience pain, because the Lord is attempting to birth some things in our lives, and when they come forth, our anguish will be turned to joy! “Our mourning will be turned to morning, our bitterness to sweetness, our crosses to comforts, our weakness to strength, and our miseries, to mercies and joy!” The dark times that we experienced, will come to an end. Our weeping shall be turned to laughter. Our sorrows shall be turned to joy, joy unspeakable, and full of glory!

James 1:5-6 says, “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work,  that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” We must count it all joy, even when we are being tried in the fire. After we have been tried, we shall come forth as pure gold! Praise God! So, hang in there my sisters and brothers, because joy cometh! Wipe those tears from your eyes! Weep no more! The temporal nature of the believer’s troubles, do not begin to compare with the everlasting joy that awaits us!  When I see Jesus, amen! All of my trials will be over, when I see Jesus, amen! “But as it is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.” (I Corinthians 2:9)  May you be blessed today, beyond measure!! Feel free to share your thoughts!
