Amazing Love

I’m forgiven, because You were forsaken.
I accepted, You were condemned.
I’m alive and well, Your spirit is within me.
Because You died and rose again.
(Repeat)

(Chorus)
Amazing love, how can it be
That You, my King, would die for me?
Amazing love, I know it’s true.
Now it’s my joy to honor You, in all I do, I honor You.

I’m forgiven because You were forsaken,
I’m accepted, You were condemned.
I am alive and well, Your spirit is within me,
Because You died and rose again.

(Chorus x2)
Amazing love, how can it be
That You, my King, would die for me?
Amazing love, I know it’s true.
Now it’s my joy to honor You.
Amazing love, how can it be
That You, my King, would die for me?
Amazing love, I know it’s true.
Now it’s my joy to honor you, in all I do, I honor You.

You are my King.
You are my King.
You are my King.
You are my King.

(Repeat: Chorus X2)

(Repeat: You are my King x8)

  1. Thank you, our praise and worship leader Paulette, His pearl of grace and beauty! I love this song and you have blessed us by sharing it today! God bless you!
    love and prayers!

    • I was blessed by this song on yesterday, after a private worship session. I don’t remember what I was looking for, but I stumbled upon it, and it truly blessed me! It crossed my mind, that the worship team might have known the song, but I guess I just couldn’t resist sharing it here! 🙂 🙂 Thank you for being a constant source of inspiration and encouragement! Love and prayers!

  2. I remain amazed that He would die on the cross that I might live free and abundantly–I just never get used to that huge love He showed me. God bless you, dear sister Paulette–I’m so glad you’re here, and I’m sending you a big squeeze from me! love, sis Caddo

    • I’d have to concur! I’m awe-struck by His wondrous and unfailing love towards me! That He would suffer vicariously for me boggles the mind! Thank you so much, Caddo! 🙂 Love, Paulette

  3. Such a beautiful song! Thank you so much for sharing! I had been singing “When You Praise” by Fred Hammond all day. Actually had a dream that Tim & I were singing it and woke up meditating on the words, especially this part: “When you praise, when you praise, there should be a fire in your heart. Hands are raised, when you praise, consuming every part because you know, the Gd we serve will make His presence known, when you praise, when you praise. When we think of how wonderful and merciful and kind our GOD has been to us. Then we know ever Glory Hallelujah He deserves, when we praise . . . ” God’s love is so amazing! My mind cannot fathom how much He loves or even why He loves me so. “He loves me, how my Jesus loves me! I don’t know what He sees in me, yet He loves me! I’ll never be the same again, since Jesus washed away my sins, and if He had to d it all again, He’d do it all again – because He loves me . . .”

    • Crystal, I’m so glad you were touched by this song! I, like you, don’t know why Jesus loves me, or even why He would care! The classic song by Andrae Crouch, “I Don’t Know Why Jesus Loves Me” comes to mind! JESUS left His mighty throne in glory, to bring to us redemption’s story, then He died, but He rose again just for you and me. Oh, and I’m glad, so glad He did!!!…. I enjoyed the precious words you shared here! What a tremendous blessing! Thank you so much for being here, and sharing out of your heart!

  4. And can it be that I should gain
    An interest in the Savior’s blood?
    Died He for me, who caused His pain—
    For me, who Him to death pursued?
    Amazing love! How can it be,
    That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?
    Amazing love! How can it be,
    That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?

    ’Tis mystery all: th’Immortal dies:
    Who can explore His strange design?
    In vain the firstborn seraph tries
    To sound the depths of love divine.
    ’Tis mercy all! Let earth adore,
    Let angel minds inquire no more.
    ’Tis mercy all! Let earth adore;
    Let angel minds inquire no more.

    He left His Father’s throne above
    So free, so infinite His grace—
    Emptied Himself of all but love,
    And bled for Adam’s helpless race:
    ’Tis mercy all, immense and free,
    For O my God, it found out me!
    ’Tis mercy all, immense and free,
    For O my God, it found out me!

    Long my imprisoned spirit lay,
    Fast bound in sin and nature’s night;
    Thine eye diffused a quickening ray—
    I woke, the dungeon flamed with light;
    My chains fell off, my heart was free,
    I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.
    My chains fell off, my heart was free,
    I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.

    Still the small inward voice I hear,
    That whispers all my sins forgiven;
    Still the atoning blood is near,
    That quenched the wrath of hostile Heaven.
    I feel the life His wounds impart;
    I feel the Savior in my heart.
    I feel the life His wounds impart;
    I feel the Savior in my heart.

    No condemnation now I dread;
    Jesus, and all in Him, is mine;
    Alive in Him, my living Head,
    And clothed in righteousness divine,
    Bold I approach th’eternal throne,
    And claim the crown, through Christ my own.
    Bold I approach th’eternal throne,
    And claim the crown, through Christ my own.

    • Cheryl, first of all, I apologize for not replying to your comment sooner. Thank you So much for sharing this song! The lyrics are so powerful, and I was truly blessed! Lately, I have been dwelling on the blood of Jesus! Yes, salvation is free, but a high price was paid to redeem us! Praise the Lord! What a savior Jesus is! Thank you, again! May the Lord bless you!

      • LOL – No apologies are necessary… I confess that after reading your response to me, my conscience was pricked because I’ve neglected in responding when people post… I just responded to someone who commented way back on November 3! 😦 Do you think good intentions count? Be blessed my sister – you are such a blessing!

  5. Truly amazing love!
    Incredible that He should die for ME!
    Incredible that He could love ME and continue to love me and work in me even though I fail Him so often.

    Such amazing love!
    Such a truly amazing God!

    • Thank you, Angela! I apologize for not replying in a more timely manner. What a blessing! Truly, the love of Jesus is amazing! I am constantly in awe of Him! Stay amazed by His wondrous love! May the Lord bless you!
