Wednesday’s Praise and Worship Session! (14) May 9

Welcome to Wednesday’s Praise and Worship Session! Holy Scriptures: Praise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre,  praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. (Psalm 150:1-6) NIV

Call to Worship: We are here stirred up to praise God. Praise God for his sanctuary, and the privileges we enjoy by having it among us; praise him because of his power and glory in the firmament. Those who praise the Lord in heaven, behold displays of his power and glory which we cannot now conceive. But the greatest of all his mighty acts is known in his earthly sanctuary. The holiness and the love of our God are more displayed in man’s redemption, than in all his other works. Let us praise our God and Saviour for it. We need not care to know what instruments of music are mentioned. Hereby is meant that in serving God we should spare no cost or pains. Praise God with strong faith; praise him with holy love and delight; praise him with entire confidence in Christ; praise him with believing triumph over the powers of darkness; praise him by universal respect to all his commands; praise him by cheerful submission to all his disposals; praise him by rejoicing in his love, and comforting ourselves in his goodness; praise him by promoting the interests of the kingdom of his grace; praise him by lively hope and expectation of the kingdom of his glory.

As the music plays: LORD we magnify You, we exalt You, we honor You, we bless Your holy name. God, we lift Your name high! Welcome, Holy Spirit! Welcome. Let the glory of Your presence be revealed in us today. We worship You, heavenly Father, just because of who You are. Lord, we thank You! We love You! LORD, we glorify You today!

Feel free to share a song of worship, a praise of thanksgiving, a Psalm of praise and worship, or whatever the Lord speaks into your heart to share, in the comment box. Please join us next time, for another Praise and Worship Session! Celebrate Jesus! Worship Him today! Testify of the goodness of the Lord in your life today! What has the Lord done for you? He has done great things for me, whereof I am glad!

    • Yes, it stirs we to worship every time! God is so good.

I had no idea I would be posting today, until around 2:30-3:00 am. I have been so sick for several days. Then the stress of that illness threw me into a terribly debilitating flare up of the RSD. So, I am still not doing well, but the Lord strengthened me to join you and everyone else today, in worship. Thank God. He’s worthy.

I hope you have been enjoying His presence this week! Blessings.

    • O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. Isaiah 25:1

  2. Hi Sister Paulette!
Seeking God in all we do and magnifying His name so that He remains exalted is my lifes treasure. Here is a song from Kari Jobe called The More i Seek You. May It bless your heart today.

    Sherline 🙂

    • Lord, “The more I find You, the more I love You. This love is so deep.” This love is difficult to comprehend. He knows me, yet loves me unconditionally! My God! He’s awesome! I have listened to this song over and over, Sherline. Thank you so much for sharing.

When we were children, we had this saying, “It takes one to know one.” I know that you are a true worshiper, and your worship is for real!!! I am so glad you joined the worship session today. You are such a blessing! Enjoy His presence today!

      • Awww thank you Sister Paulette.
I live and breathe worship. God has been soo good to me. I’m glad this song ministered to you today.Stay blessed in His Presence today 😀

  3. “My Jesus of the Storms”

When the crystal sea turns dark midnight
And the waves leap taller, ever higher—
When the wind, it rocks my uncertain craft
And I’m hopeless-sick with old despair—
Surely it’s a storm of doom
To send these lies, tempt lonely defeat.

Lightning cracks my peace, thunder drowns my joy—
    I’m rowing in circles—faster, harder
And tears surge with each relentless hour.
Then, like a handsome ghost, He appears
    Walking—calmly walking, He speaks:
“Child of my heart, it is I—do not fear.”

As though I’ve dreamed this hurricane
I wipe my eyes, relieved to see
    The azure water—clear, serene— and
Feel the “wind” is warm fragrant breeze.
My ship is strong—and gliding now
As Jesus, Master over storms and sea—
Takes the oars, rows mightier than me!

    • Thank you for sharing such a beautiful praise of deliverance in the midst of the storms! Even though tears might be streaming down like a drenching rain, “My ship is strong—and gliding now As Jesus, Master over storms and sea—Takes the oars, rows mightier than me!” Thank you Jesus! He is a mighty God, yes He is! Thank you Caddo, for blessing us today!

      • Well, my tears are flowing, being here again, and reading this poem! Thank you, Jesus, Paulette and Sis Caddo Delight . . .precious one of His!

  4. Hi Paulette–I hope this poem is okay to bring today, as it is a Praise of Who He is during our scary storms. Whether or not He calms our storms immediately, He is Faithful and Mighty to steer us through, when we quickly run out of our own strength and self-confidence–and yes, there’s a lesson in there! Praise His Name Forever! God bless you, Sister–and everyone here at Wednesday church. love, Caddo

    • God bless, Caddo. Your offering was very appropriate! Heartfelt praise and worship is appropriate at all times. Thank you for sharing your thoughts here! He is “steering me through a storm right now!” I am praising Him through it, as He is my strength! Wonderful lesson! Thank you!

  5. I will sing praises unto the Lord for ever. His praise shall continually be in my mouth. Praise the Lord!
Thanks you very much Minister Paulette, for another “Wednesday’s Praise and Worship Session. You are an inspiration to many. Keep up the good work. I would like to share this song with you today: http://youtu.be/dbNK50T35wY

    • God bless you abundantly, Noel. I enjoyed your worship, and the song you shared was beautiful! It touched my heart. “You are my refuge, You are my strength. As I pour my heart these things I remember. You are my Father, God forever.” Thank you LORD!

Thank you for the words of encouragement. God truly is my strength. I am so weak, physically right now. Commenting in the worship stream has been difficult today, but I always enjoy the fellowship, and the heartfelt praise and worship! I thank God for His strength being made perfect in my weakness. He is wonderful to me. May His presence rest upon you!

    • Praise the LORD! He is definitely that kind of God! Thank you so much for sharing your praise report with us. We serve a mighty God! Bless His holy name! I’m so glad you stopped by! God bless you too!

  6. Thank you, Praising Paulette, as you bring us into His presence again and draw us altogether for Him . . even through the pain and illness you are undergoing . . .still, you come ready to worship Him. Always ready to lift His name. Leaving a song today, so thankful for Jesus, the One who is our Everything. . .

    • The song was wonderful! Thank you! Beautiful worship! “Sing praises to our God, sing praises! May His name be praised for ever!” God bless you, Debbie, as you worship Christ the LORD! It is my worship, my relationship with Him, that gets me through the difficult times! Praise God Almighty!

  7. I lift my heart in praise to the One who alone is worthy . . . He is Everything I need. His love reaches into the very core of my being. I would be nothing without Him, but in His mercy He touched me and made me whole. One day soon He will come for me and I will spend all eternity praising Him. “Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus”

    What an amazing Saviour!

    • O worship Him, Christ the LORD! O God, how excellent is Thy name! I enjoyed your worship, Angela! Praise God. He is a wonder in my soul. It is His blood, that has made me whole. I am so glad you stopped by, just to lift His name high! He’s worthy!

  8. It is good to praise the Lord
and make music to your name, O Most High,
2 proclaiming your love in the morning
    and your faithfulness at night,
3 to the music of the ten-stringed lyre
and the melody of the harp.
    4 For you make me glad by your deeds, Lord;
I sing for joy at what your hands have done.
5 How great are your works, Lord,
how profound your thoughts! (Psalm 92:1-5)
