Can God? God Can!

Scripture: And a great multitude followed Him, because they saw His miracles which He did on them that were diseased. (John6:2)

We serve a miracle working God! A miracle can be defined as an extraordinary, supernatural event brought about by divine intervention. Sometimes God uses miracles to manifest His works in the earth. The Bible is replete with miracles wrought by our Lord, in both the Old and New Testaments. There is mention of many miracles of healing in the New Testament. The woman healed of the issue of blood, the healing of the man who received his sight after having been born blind and remaining blind for 38 years of his life, the healing of the man who laid lame at the pool of Bethesda, and the healing of the centurion’s servant are just a few examples.

Our God is the same yesterday, today, and for ever. I have so much to thank God for! How about you? I know God is Jehovah RAPHA,The God that Healeth! God has miraculously healed my body on more than one occasion! God is not just a God who can heal a headache or a stomachache. He can do so much more than that! When I was just a tiny tot, I suffered from dystonia, a neurological disorder: uncontrolled or slow movement, such as a problem with muscle tone, that leads to involuntary muscle contractions or spasms. It wasn’t until years later when I was an adult scouring through medical books and articles, that I learned what had been wrong with me. My mother had taken me to specialists as a toddler, but the doctors didn’t have any answers for her. In my case, my head would move constantly, and my eyes would move from side to side nonstop. One day while my mother was busy in the kitchen, she stopped to take a “prayer break.” Now as far back as I can remember, my mother has been a mighty prayer warrior. My siblings and I were taught how to go boldly to the throne of grace, when we were quite young. So, as mom was praying fervently, interceding for someone, I went into the kitchen, and looking up at my mom (I was probably not much higher than the hemline of her skirt) I said, “mommy say me, mommy say me.” After a while, my mother realized that I was asking her to pray for me, and she did. After my mom prayed for me, she continued in prayer, and I went on my merry way, content. It had to have been the Lord who orchestrated this turn of events, considering my age at that time. Later that evening, as we sat down for dinner, unknown to me, (that which I could not articulate) something wonderful had happened!!! My head wasn’t moving, and my eyes were blinking normally! I was sitting still, just like my sisters and brothers! God had answered my mother’s prayer! He had healed me that very day! Praise God! When doctors had failed me, Jesus the “Great Physician” came to my rescue! When my siblings and I were children, at meal times we always sat at the same place around the table, in our “special” seats. On this particular day, I was the first child seated. (I must have been hungry. :-)) Initially when I sat down at the table, my mom didn’t see me sitting in my little part of the world, and she undoubtedly had not realized what the Lord had done. But, when my mom looked over at me sitting in my chair, head still and eyes blinking normally, she knew that God had miraculously healed my body! Glory to God! You can probably imagine the excitement, the thankfulness, and the praise my mother felt and rendered unto God that evening! What a time! To God be the glory! I know if He could do that, He can also heal me of the neurological condition that I now suffer from. If He doesn’t heal my body, I know that He is able! I am waiting on Him! So, if you’re waiting for the Lord to perform the miraculous in your life, hang in there. He may not come when you want Him to, but He is an on time God, all the time, every time! Can God? God can! Share your testimonies of miraculous healing, or of any miraculous events in your life!  May the Lord bless you, today and every day!

  1. Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him! Amen. Wonderful post Paulette, for like so many of our ancestors some were healed and many were not,yet and still they held on looking forward to that city not built by man “Hallelujah”!! And so am I,we go through much here but our worse day cannot compare to what Jesus endured for us, another “Hallelujah”!!
    Love you 😀

    • Excellent word Pat,

I am looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith! My life is in His hands! Yes we go through much, but this Scripture came to mind that tells us, “I reckon that the sufferings of this present time, are not worthy to be compared to the glory which shall be revealed in us!” Thank God!

      Hallelujah!

      Love you too! 🙂

  2. Hi Paulette. There is no doubt of your love for the Lord and your trust in Him. Of course, there is also no doubt about His love for you. I wish I could help in some way to alleviate your suffering, but I can assure you that I do pray for you and will continue to do so. I look forward to reading another blog similar to this one where you tell us of God’s healing.

    • Thank you, Angela. You help me more than you’ll ever know. You are an encouragement to me, and you intercede for me in prayer. Whenever I come to my blog, and I see a comment from you, it brings a huge smile to my face. It’s definitely a “pick me up”, when I’m down. The messages you share with us on your blog, are truly far-reaching, and a true blessing to me. For these things, I truly thank you!

God bless you, and your husband!

      Paulette

  3. I love your faith, trust and love of Him! It’s very infectious! 🙂 And I don’t want healed of that. Continuing to believe Him with you and for you. I have a daughter with PDDNOS and a seizure disorder. As I prayed for healing early on, God told me she was healed in Him, but others around her would need to be healed. I’ve hung onto that. 🙂 I’ve been able to care for her and keep her here with me, and I know that’s not always possible to do, so a miracle in my book! Thank you, Jesus. She’s 19 years old and God keeps making a way for us.
God bless you, Paulette, and all the healing words of God that you share with us!

    • Hi Debbie,

Praise God! On the first of this month, it was eight years since I became symptomatic. The road has been rough, and the going has been tough. But thanks be to God, He has made a way out of no way for me! He keeps on blessing me to handle those things I must handle from day-to-day! Many years ago, I told the Lord I was available to Him. No, I didn’t know how He would use me, and I admit had it been up to me, I would have chosen a different route, at this time in my life. However, the Lord knows what He’s doing, and He doesn’t make mistakes! The fact that I am able to praise Him in spite of my circumstances, is encouraging to others, and had it not been for this sickness, I don’t believe I would have met you and so many other wonderful friends in blogosphere, nor would I have been able to reach as many people as I have, via this venue. I am truly blessed! 🙂

It is a miracle indeed, that the Lord has made so many ways for you and your daughter. That is a great testimony, in and of itself! Praise the Lord! I know the Lord will continue to make ways for you and your daughter, ways that only He could make! Those are the things miracles are made of! He’s just that kind of God! 🙂

Thank you for your encouragement, Debbie. It’s greatly appreciated!

      Love,

      Paulette

  6. What a wonderful testimony Paulette! In a day when so many question the supernatural power of Jesus to heal you are proof that He is still the Savior, Healer, Baptizer, And Soon and Coming king! Thank you for being faithful to witness for His glory!

    • Thank you Pastor J,

Our God is the same yesterday, today, and forever! He is the same God who made the lame to walk, and the dumb to talk. This same God can work miracles in the lives of His people today! He’s able, oh yes He is! He keeps on doing great things for me! Bless His name!

  8. Reblogged this on Paulette's Blog and commented:

I am dealing with an RSD flare up, and I am usually very dysfunctional during flares, which is why I haven’t been commenting on blogs very much lately. Hopefully, I will re-surface in a couple of days, or so. Blessings!

  9. A great testimony Paulette. Very encouraging and inspiring. I had my miracle when I was delivered from people. There manipulations, opinions and jealousy. This allowed me to be who God made me to be with deep dependence on Him and his Word for direction and guidance in my life. This I consider a miracle because I was so dependent on what people thought of me I could not function properly.

    BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!

    • Thank you so much for sharing your testimony, Francine! God is truly a miracle working God, yes He is! What a blessing! I’m so glad that you’re walking in your deliverance today! What a mighty God we serve! May the Lord bless you, and keep you continually in His loving care!

  10. Praying for you, praising Paulette, as you undergo this flare up time. How like you and your Jesus, to reblog this post! Oh Yes He can heal you and help you! God bless you as you worship Him today! He is using you in mighty ways!

    • Encouraging Debbie, thank you, thank you, thank you! I truly appreciate your friendship and support! I thank God for you! God bless you today! Love and prayers! 🙂
