Joy Cometh

smallMain_8_27A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world (John 16:21). Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning (Psalm 30:4-5).

Job 14:1 says, “Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.” In our walks with the Lord, we encounter many trials and tribulations. Trouble gets in our way, and yes, sometimes we cry. We will find ourselves navigating through boisterous storms, many pitfalls, temptations, disappointments, heartaches, heavy burdens, and uncertainties. “Satan desires to have us, that he might sift us as wheat.” He wants our faith to fail, when we are going through the difficult times in our lives. He’s busy laying traps for the  body of Christ. “The tempter, the wicked one, sets out to afflict and distress the saints of God; to toss us, to and fro as wheat is in a sieve.” He is a formidable opponent, but thanks to be  God, he is a defeated foe. However, it is in these trying times, that we find tears streaming down our faces, and wondering Lord, where are you? In these times, we cry out Lord help us! Lord save us! It is in these trying times, that we are being tried, as in a refiner’s fire!

Joy Comes in the Morning! It is also in these times, that the Lord is working a work in our lives! He’s burning up everything within us, that is not like Him! He is cleansing us of all filthiness of the flesh and of the spirit! He is molding us and making us! We may not see it, but it is working for our good. Yes, weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning light! As a woman, when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: after she is delivered, she will remember her sorrow and anguish,  no more. She will have joy, because a man is born into the world. We will experience pain, because the Lord is attempting to birth some things in our lives, and when  they come forth, our anguish will be turned to joy! “Our mourning will be turned to morning, our bitterness to sweetness, our crosses to comforts, our weakness to strength, and our miseries, to mercies and joy!” The dark times that we experienced, will come to an end.  Our weeping shall be turned to laughter. Our sorrows shall be turned to joy, joy unspeakable, and full of glory!

James 1:5-6 says, “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work,  that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” We must count it all joy, even when we are being tried in the fire. After we have been tried, we shall come forth as pure gold! Praise God! So, hang in there my sisters and brothers, because joy cometh! Wipe those tears from your eyes! Weep no more! The temporal nature of the believer’s troubles, do not begin to compare with the everlasting joy that awaits us!  When I see Jesus, amen! All of my trials will be over, when I see Jesus, amen! “But as it is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.” (I Corinthians 2:9)  May you be blessed today, beyond measure!! 1. Hi Paulette,

All this reminds me of the anxieties many experience as they struggle in their earthly lives…. They may not really know what their inner struggles are all about, but it turns out that they want to be born again and really live — in the way God wants us to live…. Thank you!

    Love,
    Margaret

    • Hi Margaret,

Depending on one’s commitment to their walk with God, one can become vulnerable to the wiles of the devil, and find themselves in a struggle for their spiritual lives! Or, as you said, this post could describe someone who is struggling because they don’t understand the battle that is going on, on the inside. However, God will be there, to wipe away all tears!

I appreciate you stopping by, and thanks for your input!

May God continue to bless you, abundantly!

      Paulette

    • Hi Pat,

Thank you so much for stopping by! I always enjoy your comments, and your posts! “But until then we have the comfort and joy filled with peace from the Holy Ghost.” That is so true! It is definitely in His presence, that I find fullness of joy!!! Glory to God!

Thanks for the encouragement, Pat. It’s much appreciated.

      Blessings to you,

  3. Hi Paulette

    >> It is also in these times, that the Lord is working a work in our lives!

How true! Hindsight is a wonderful thing. We can look BACK on our times of deepest troubles and despair and see that these were indeed times of our biggest spiritual growth as the Lord used them to mature us. And when we look back, our hearts are full of praise to Him and we can be THANKFUL for them.

Though we might find it difficult at the time, we should welcome “difficult times” knowing that the Lord is going to “grow” us and we will be a step further towards our goal (His goal for us) of Ephesians 4:13.

    Thanks Paulette

    • Hello Angela,

Hindsight, truly is a wonderful thing! You are so right! Yes, I shed a tear, every now and then. And, every test or trial that I have gone through before, pale in comparison to what I’m going through now! However, I give God the praise and glory, for the spiritual growth that I have experienced! Hallelujah! He is so worthy to be praised!

Thank you for your help today. Also, I was truly blessed by your comment! My spirit was stirred!!

      Growing in Him,

      Paulette

  4. Thank you, Paulette

“The temporal nature of the believer’s troubles, do not begin to compare with the permanence of the joy that awaits us!”

This is such a wonderful reminder! Thank you, Paulette. 🙂 There’s so much happening on a daily basis here – it seems we barely have time to catch up on one thing before another pops out of the woodwork. The good thing is, He already knows what’s coming down the pipeline and He’s already given us the assurance that He’s still in control.

There may be weeping now, but Joy is on it’s way!!!

    Blessings,
    ann

    • Hi Ann,

“There’s so much happening on a daily basis here-it seems we barely have time to catch up on one thing before another pops out of the woodwork.” After reading that sentence, I thought of your article of the week! We truly need to learn how to relax, and rest in the arms of Jesus! When we let go and let God, He will get us to the other side of “through.” Thanks so much, Ann!

      God bless you!

      Paulette

  5. Hi Paulette,

With each trial in our lives, we should draw nearer to the Lord…each trial is used in some way by the Lord. It could be to strengthen us or someone else who sees how well we would handle the trial. Our reaction to each trial could very well be our testimony to the lost, possibly being used by the Lord to bring the lost to salvation.

It is so absolutely wonderful though, that the Lord’s Joy will be there for us in the morning, whether it be the mornings that we are used to, or the greater morning that we will experience when we are joined with the Lord on that great day.

Thank you for stopping by my blog, Paulette.
    Have a blessed day.
