1.) EVERYTHING YOU DO WILL ALWAYS LEAVE A MARK.
2.) YOU CAN ALWAYS CORRECT THE MISTAKES YOU MAKE.
3.) WHAT IS IMPORTANT IS WHAT IS INSIDE OF YOU.
4.) IN LIFE, YOU WILL UNDERGO PAINFUL SHARPENINGS WHICH WILL ONLY MAKE YOU BETTER.
5.) TO BE THE BEST PENCIL, YOU MUST ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE HELD AND GUIDED BY THE HAND THAT HOLDS YOU.
We all need to be constantly sharpened. This parable may encourage you to know that you are a special person, with unique God-given talents and abilities. Only you can fulfill the purpose which you were born to accomplish. Never allow yourself to get discouraged, and think that your life is insignificant and cannot be changed and, like the pencil, always remember that the most important part of who you are, is what’s inside of you! (Quote)
Did you ever stop to think about, how much you have in common with a pencil? Probably not. Like a pencil, everything you do will always leave a mark, but remember, only what you do for Christ will last! In our spiritual walks, we may not always dot every I, and cross every T, but we can correct many of the mistakes we make. We can go boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help, in time of need. At Calvary, the blood of Jesus Christ erased the sins of the world. I John 1:7 says, “But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. Verse nine says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we are to walk according to the statutes of our Lord and Savior, it is important that we be filled with the Spirit, the precious gift of the Holy Ghost! The Spirit of the Lord must dwell within us, to lead us, and to guide us, into all truth and righteousness. Strive to be filled with the Holy Spirit! We will undergo many painful sharpenings in our walks with the Lord, but those sharpenings, will shave off those things that are not like Him! Sometimes when we sharpen a pencil, the point will break off, and the pencil has to be sharpened again. Like the pencil, when we are being sharpened, sometimes we may fail the Lord, and become broken inside. However, the Lord will sharpen us again, which will only serve to make us better followers of Him. When a gardener cares for her garden, she up roots the weeds that grow with the beautiful flowers, to prevent damage to the roots. As Romans 6:12 says, “Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. We must shave off, or eradicate the sin that is in our lives, because the Holy Ghost will not dwell in an unclean temple. Finally, to be the best Christians we can be, we must allow ourselves to be guided by the hand of Almighty God! We must allow Him to mold us, and to make us, into His masterpieces, designed by the hands of the Master! We must allow God, to mold us into His image. As the potter molds and transforms the clay, allow yourself to be placed on the Potter’s, wheel, so that you become a one of a kind design, fit for the Master’s use. Just as your hand gracefully guides a pencil across a piece of paper when writing a manuscript, allow the Lord to gracefully guide you through your Christian journey, so that you will fulfill the purpose, that has been placed on your life, by Almighty God. You were designed with a specific purpose in the mind of the Lord, so relish the fact, that God has you on His mind, and that He is ordering your steps! “Faith can be looked upon, as taking the first step, even when you don’t see the whole staircase.” Proverbs 3:5 says, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” May God bless you abundantly, today and every day!
